It is not what Obama can do but what we can do together. The torch has been passed to a new generation. I challenge you young who want to change the world to volunteer. Find something that interest you and use it to serve your country. My generation stopped a war with violence and anger that further divided the country. Anarchy is self defeating because it gives strength for the need for stronger government.
Your generation stopped a war by electing a President who calls us to work together. It is time for that Yankee Doodle American spirit we can do it that has made this the greatest country. Inventors in every basement and every garage in America I call on you to strike it rich the way Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell did. Because you live in America at this great moment the world is you oyster.
For those who have fought for it Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know. These words come from the tombstone of a fallen hero.

I didn't see an email address so I posted a comment about what you posted in my blog here. Ok, so you ask if I hear what Obama believes, or am I just being fed by others with the same views. Sorry, but I do listen to others views, and I do know Obama's policies. Obviously you didn't read my blog about Obama (you probably should). I gave a reason for my dislike (mostly on personal issues, but, I know his political stances also). I do not appreciate being called ignorant as this one topic (politics), I am most definately not ignorant.
James I found nothing but right wing talking points on your blog. I am a progressive Republican is the vein of TR who incidentally was the first president to call for universal health care. I find President elect Obama ideas being refreshing because it works within our market system. Your unyielding view leads me to believe that you get your information from only conservative sources. That to me is the definition of ignorance. You and I do not agree on the direction of the GOP. But headed down the road that you follow will us only further away our goals.
America is a democracy our economic system is capitalism. I think you fail to see the difference. Make no mistake I do not want to abandon capitalism but as John Addams said, "If we were all angles we would need no government." It is incumbent on a democracy to protect the rights of the minority while carrying the wishes of the majority. TR was a trust buster but he did not disagree with trust just illegal ones. I challenge you to study Obama's positions and tell exactly why they will not work.
